But we're not like most conventional gyms!
Inspire Fitness is Chippenham's Friendliest Fitness Club
You won't find our facility full of treadmills, ellipticals and scary looking weights. Our circuit includes a number of state-of-the-art electro-magnetic resistance machines and when you join we assess your strength on every machine. This means that your programme is built based on your current fitness levels and ability.
Our equipment is really state of the art. We're the only location in Wiltshire to have the eGym machines and members get to use the fitness app that goes alongside them to track activity and progress.
What's more, every 6 workouts, you reassess, so as you progress, so does your programme to keep you working at exactly the right intensity for you!
On top of that, one of our friendly coaches will be in the circuit motivating you and keeping an eye on your technique so you know you'll always be getting the most from your workout. (Scroll down or click here to meet the team). Also, our other members, who come in all shapes and sizes, are very supportive of everyone who joins the gang!
Unlike many gyms who rarely speak to you after your induction, we'll remember your name and what your goals are. On top of that, if we don't see you for a while we'll actually pick the phone up and check that everything is ok. We realise that sometimes motivation can be hard to find so we'll try and help you stay focused whatever else is going on.
You matter to us so we remember your name! It's just a small thing but so many gyms barely acknowledge their members once they get past the induction.
We believe that to live a happy, healthy life people need to eat well and exercise regularly but most won't do either if they don't enjoy it so we want you to enjoy your membership. We promote the idea that your best weight is the healthiest weight you can be and still enjoy life!
Inspire Fitness is somewhere friendly and supportive where people can come and be active regardless of age, size, shape or fitness levels. Everyone can increase their fitness and improve their health through activity and we want to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and supported here regardless where they're starting from.
We employ REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) Level 3 Personal Trainers and Nutrition and Weight Management coaches so you know that you're getting sound, evidenced advice and training.
What happens when you come to look around?
On your first visit us we'll show you round the facility and then take some time to find out what you'd like to achieve and where you're at just now in terms of health and fitness levels. You can have a go on a couple of machines to see how simple they are to use and we'll explain our programmes to you. If you have any questions we'll answer them for you and then we'll ask you to decide if you'd like to join us. You can say yes or no, either is fine but we will ask you to make a decision!
What happens when you join?
When you join us we'll book you in for your first workout. During this we'll take you round the circuit and show you how to use each of the machines to get the best out of them. This first workout normally takes about 45 minutes. After this we'll keep a close eye on your for your next few workouts to make sure that you're feeling confident with the machines and that one of us is available to help if you have any questions. Then you can use the facility whenever suits you, providing we're open of course! There are no set times, so come and workout when it's convenient for you.
Meet The Team
Otherwise known as... Ruth. Although we’re sure you’ve got some suggestions!
Ruth is a PT and REPs Level 4 PSI(postural stability instructor) as well as being a Precision Nutrition qualified nutrition coach and has owned Inspire Fitness since it’s inception in 2016.
As a cancer survivor she’s cares deeply about helping people use exercise and diet to stay strong and healthy so that they can lead the life they want to for as long as possible whether that’s running marathons, running around with the grandkids or managing your own chronic condition.
Ruth has 3 gorgeous and cheeky granddaughters that live close by who she sees as often as possible and two very loved dogs that take up most of her free time.
Otherwise known as Madge – She does a mean impression of Victoria Wood’s Madge!
Carolyn is the detail to Ruth’s “big picture”. She takes care of the never-ending, essential tasks that keep Inspire running as smoothly as it does. She has excellent telephone and organisation skills so is essential for sales and customer service. Carolyn is also known as the customer happiness specialist and generally brings a smile to everyone’s face.
Also a cancer survivor, Carolyn cares deeply about making sure every single person who walks through our door feels comfortable and confident enough to exercise. She wants members to get the mental health benefits as well as the fitness benefits of exercise and knows that will only happen if they enjoy themselves.
What else: Carolyn has two handsome, grown-up boys. One lives at home with Carolyn and her partner and the other lives close by with his girlfriend so is a very frequent visitor.
Otherwise known as Bob - just because!
Lorena is a qualified PT and nutrition coach. She’s a long-time gym rat and has practised non-professional bodybuilding for many years (That means she lifts heavy stuff, a lot!). Lorena is passionate about fitness and improving health through physical activity and nutrition.
Lorena says the best feeling in the world is to be able to help other women feel empowered and stronger. She’s always found that exercise and nutrition have rescued her from certain health issues and without fail is her “happy pill”.
What else: Lorena is committed to a Vegetarian diet for life, always trying to find a way to make a healthy pizza 😉

Ugne is a self–motivated and soft–hearted PT, who advocates physical activity at every size. She has a degree in Sport and Exercise Science and an MSc in Clinical Exercise Physiology.
She has recently recovered from disordered eating along with compulsive exercising herself and has improved her negative body image through the completion of a Body Confidence & Well–being Coaching course. These personal experiences have inspired her to direct all academic and practical knowledge into women’s health and exercise.
For this reason, Ugne is aiming to:
Ugne has played basketball for 5 years, thus she is a big fan of EuroLeague (European version of NBA) and supports Kaunas Zalgiris basketball team. She loves 70’s - 80’s music and cannot image her life without experimentations with food and various exercises.
My journey at Inspire began nearly 2 years ago, I was pushing the wrong side of 45 and although not too overweight and fairly active, I was not at all body confident.
Well I have just come back from Mallorca and for the first time in 20 years I put on a bikini (size 10 I add ) and felt great. In fact I never even wore shorts until this year.
I want to thank all my ladies not just Ruth, Jenna, Carolin and Di who are amazing and support, inspire and kick some, but also to every single one of you ladies who make me laugh, sweat with me and give me that look when I need to up my game ( you know who you are )
The mixture of strength training, boot camp, HIIT classes , boxing and workout challenges means I am never bored, then add the food mini challenges and the best bunch of girlies you can ever meet and it makes it so easy.
